EVENTS: Working Meeting 2 – Addressing Regulatory Barriers to Innovation in the Blue Economy – Frameworks and local inputs

We are pleased to announce a working meeting 2 where the project partners and different stakeholders will share their insights and discuss about regulatory frameworks, but also challenges and opportunities for testing innovative technologies in real environment across ADRION region.

These meetings are starting activity in fostering transnational collaboration to develop recommendations for regulatory solutions that enable testing innovations in real environments.

Despite the innovative possibilities and solutions these technologies offer, testing and deploying them in real (marine/freshwater) environments brings a complex set of interrelated challenges.

By addressing regulatory barriers and exploring funding mechanisms, we aim to accelerate the development of innovative technologies in the blue economy.
With this working meetings, we aim to establish thematic working groups to propose regulatory sandbox options and efficient administrative processes, develop actionable policy recommendations for regulatory reform and identify and use funding options to support these initiatives.

The meeting will be held online on March 26th 2025.
